Ties that bind…
October 8, 1963 – January 24, 2013
What an honor to be able to share in the life and friendship of my friend…Donna Lynn.
I heard it said that death ends a life, not a friendship. Breast cancer is not strong enough to end a friendship because the ties that bind are far stronger.
Upon diagnosis, Donna knew the ties that bind would be made stronger with faith, family, & friends.
Donna’s ties of love, family, true friendships, and an understanding that ALL things work for the good of God’s plan was a sustaining virtue throughout her diagnosis.
Donna was so many things. Her greatest role was being a mom to Caitlin and Cameron. Her love of teaching played on outside of the classroom. She took bad situations and made teachable moments out of them. I learned from her and continue to see things she told me unfold. That is the sign of a good teacher.
Donna had a great fondness for LuAnn and her vision of Women Rock. I know first-hand the good that this organization does for local families. I would challenge anyone to make a donation in Donna’s honor or in any one who is presently fighting, any survivors, or any of the taken you may know to Women Rock!
Support the Fighters… Admire the Survivors… Honor the Taken.
I am grateful for her parents and all of her family for letting me tag along in this chapter of Donna’s life before her final curtain closed on earth.
Blessed be the ties that bind us…always!!
